What Global does for a mentor

Three connected steps: you find out where you are starting from, learn exactly what is missing, and prove you are ready to lead a mentoring program.

  1. Diagnosis

    Know where you start

Your map across the 6 M.E.T.R.I.C.S. prisms

    METRIC

In 10 a 15 minutes, a free assessment shows where you are already strong and where your bottleneck is.

  3. Technology

    Practice and prove it

    Ready to mentor

MentorMind reviews each session with you, Mind Levels shows how each mentee thinks before the first conversation, and the certification exams attest whether you are ready to lead a mentoring program.

And the cycle starts again. Retake the assessment after the tracks and see, prism by prism, how much you have grown.

Mentoring is the process in which someone experienced in a subject helps another person reach a goal the mentor has already reached and knows how to teach, always respecting the mentee's final word.

What mentoring is

What mentoring is, and how it differs from coaching

A coach does not need to know the client's field: coaching works through questions. A mentor works in the same field as the mentee and has walked the path, so mentoring combines guidance, advice and, when it helps, consulting and coaching tools.

That applied experience is what makes mentoring a high-value service, and also what demands a method: without structure, experience turns into conversation instead of results.

Session roadmap

The 4Cs: the step by step of every well-run mentoring program

Created by Claudio Brito in 2019 and taught in every GMG program.

  1. 01

    Connection

Build trust and truly understand where the mentee is and where they want to go.

  2. 02

    Contract

Agree in writing on the goal, deliverables, duration, responsibilities and investment.

  3. 03

    Conduct

The meetings: diagnosis, action plan, follow-up and course corrections.

  4. 04

    Conclusion

Measure the result, record what was learned and set the mentee's next steps.

M.E.T.R.I.C.S. method

Claudio Brito, founder of Global Mentoring Group

Global Mentoring Group

Who we are

Global Mentoring Group was born with one purpose: to contribute to the success of people and organizations through knowledge.

We develop the professional of the new century: someone who stays relevant when their profession changes, even if the right technology has not been invented yet. We do it with mentoring, the oldest and most effective way to pass on what has been learned, organized in the M.E.T.R.I.C.S. method and lived in immersions in the world's innovation hubs.

Our big dream is to build an international network of professionals who grow and help others grow, present in key countries on every continent and, through technology, anywhere.

The founder

Claudio Brito is the founder and CEO of Global Mentoring Group, known in Brazil as a “mentor of mentors”. An entrepreneur since 1997, he was a facilitator of Empretec, the entrepreneurial behavior program of the United Nations and Sebrae, before founding GMG.

He holds specializations in Digital Marketing (Fecap) and Group Dynamics (SBDG), trained with Alexander Osterwalder, Steve Blank and Eric Ries, and takes part in programs at Babson, Harvard and MIT. He is the author of books on mentoring published in Brazil.
